Casting Crowns' 'Thrive' Debuts at No. 2 on iTunes Chart as Band Announces Tour Dates with Laura Story and for King & Country (VIDEO)
Christian contemporary group Casting Crowns released their new album and book, Thrive, yesterday, and it opened up at the No. 2 spot on iTunes.
Yesterday the album was released exclusively to iTunes, and today it is available everywhere else.
Breathecast reviewed Thrive last week. Read our extensive track by track write-up on the album here.
The band's first major release was certified platinum. Their next album secured them a Grammy Award and every album since has been in the top five of the Billboard 200 charts. Thrive should be no different as it beautifully paints a picture of the dialogue Christian's need to have around others and with God.
Casting Crowns will start a brand new 40 city journey this spring in support of the new album. The Thrive Tour will include Grammy Award winning worship leader Laura Story, and reigning GMA New Artist of the Year, for King & Country. The tour begins on Feb. 20 in Lexington, KY, and will go throughout the spring performing at major cities, including Orlando, Charlotte, Raleigh, Tampa, Minneapolis, Greenville, Houston, and Grand Rapids, to name a few of the stops.
