'Captain America: Civil War' News, Spoilers: Scarlett Johansson Returns as Black Widow in Upcoming Film
The Marvel Cinematic Universe already has a lot of hype around the next Avengers film. Any news from Marvel about any of their movies is bound to have a lot of heavy discussions and questions. On that note, news about the cast of Captain America: Civil War is no different.
Scarlett Johansson will return as Black Widow, which was confirmed by directors Joe and Anthony Russo earlier yesterday, February 16.
Fans are happy that the former S.H.I.E.L.D agent will return to do what she does best. Most of the cast from The Winter Soldier will also be returning with new additions of Robert Downey Jr. and Chadwick Boseman as Iron Man and Black Panther, respectively. Spider Man is also rumored to appear as well as a small appearance from Peggy Carter.
With a lot of crossovers and character-centric news, there are many questions as to how each character will be portrayed in the newest Captain America film. A lot is still unknown about Civil War as far as the plot and many of the character's roles in the film.
Black Widow could stick to Steve Roger's side like she did in The Winter Soldier, but in past films she also has sided with Iron Man, despite their differences in opinions.
Black Widow has an avid fan base. She is the only female on the Avengers team so far. Her mysterious personality fits her job, and she constantly confirms that she doesn't need to have super human powers to be a hero.
Captain America: Civil War is set to premiere in theaters on May 6, 2016.
