'Captain America: Civil War' News: Movie Wraps Up Production In Germany
It appears that the highly anticipated 'Captain America: Civil War' project has finally wrapped up production.
A picture of some of the cast celebrating in Germany has been posted on a local bar's Facebook. It features Evans (Captain America), Mackie (Falcon), Sebastian Stan (The Winter Soldier), and Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther). While word was released last week that Spider-Man actor Tom Holland was in attendance to finish up some scenes, he wasn't featured in the cast photo.
"Last night, the Marvel Filmcrew celebrated the end of the shooting in Germany to the new 'Captain America,'" read a Facebook post from Imperrii, a bar and restaurant in Leipzig, Germany. "Thank you for this Party!!"
To follow this, Marvel co-president Louis D'Esposito tweeted this for confirmation:
"?#CaptainAmericaCivilWar wrapped principle photography today. Congratulations to the Russo brothers and the entire cast and crew."
Here's the synopsis:
"Captain America: Civil War centers on an international incident involving the Avengers that prompts the governments of the world to impose harsher restrictions on super-powered beings. This action splits Earth's Mightiest Heroes in two - one side forming around Cap in fighting against it, and the other forming around Iron Man in defending it."
The film will mark the introduction of Chadwick Boseman's Black Panther as well as Tom Holland's Spider-Man in the MCU.
The first footage of the film was shown at Disney's D23 and is expected to hit the public in the coming months. 'Civil War' hits theaters on May 6, 2016.
