'Captain America: Civil War' News: Chris Evans and Anthony Mackie Talks About the Film at D23

Disney's D23 brought fans some awesome footage and details to a lot of their upcoming films, and among these was Marvel's 'Captain America: Civil War.'

Fans who attended got to see an exclusive trailer that probably won't be revealed to the public for quite some time, however actors Chris Evans and Anthony Mackie offered some words during the event to help shape the anticipated feature.

They first went on to discuss the relationship their characters have with the Winter Soldier, as he was an enemy in the last film.

"The relationship between the three characters is more so a bond of kindred friendship," Mackie said "My respect for Cap helps me to help him find Bucky because I know how much that means to him, knowing where he's come from and everything and what he's gone through to this point. It's more so of an understanding and respect than it is three guys chumming around having a good time."

"You've got to understand, Cap coming off the last movie, Falcon's the one guy - having known the least in terms of history - he actually trusts the most," Evans adds about Captain America's relationship with the Falcon. "There's a really nice kinship between these two characters and they do a really good job of picking up where we left off."

Evans also speaks on the criticism against the film sounding like another 'Avengers' film.

"I don't know if it feels like an Avengers movie having been on an Avengers movie where you have to really balance a lot of storylines," he said. "They do a pretty good job of understanding the arc of what the story needs."

'Captain America: Civil War' premieres in theaters on May 6, 2016.
