'Captain America: Civil War' Cast News: The Falcon Actor Anthony Mackie Talks Marvel Movie Series

The release of "Captain America: Winter Soldier" was undoubtedly was a huge success and added a lot to the Marvel cinematic universe. On that note, actor Anthony Mackie was as huge part in the movie's development, as he introduced the Falcon aka Sam Wilson.

Mackie recently took to an interview in Collider to discuss the upcoming film, "Captain America: Civil War" and how he believes that will turn over.

"Let's just say it's a wing-ding-doozy of a time," Mackie comments, "The great thing about it is, after seeing Avengers I joked and said Captain America 2 was Avengers 1.5. Now with Avengers 2 coming out... Captain America 3 is so far beyond Avengers 2.5 and onto the realm of Avengers 3.8. It's by far one of the most stupendous rides Marvel has put together."

The film hopes to introduce fans into the next phase of Marvel's span of movies. This means entering new characters, new relationships, and possibly the end for some long time characters.

Characters such as Iron Man have been confirmed to have huge roles in the movie, giving it the almost-Avengers like feel. The big team ups they're ultimately leaving to the actual Avenger films. It will also be the first time we'll see actor Chadwick Boseman on screen as the Black Panther.

"Brothers Joe and Anthony Russo, who directed Captain America: The Winter Soldier and are in line to take over as the directors of the two-part Avengers: Infinity War saga, are returning to helm "Captain America 3, and all signs point to it being a very, very big movie," writes Collider.

Production for the film should kick off later this year, "Captain America: Civil War" will be released on May 6th, 2016.
