'Captain America: Civil War' Cast News: Emily VanCamp to Return to Film Series as Agent 13

It has been confirmed that Emily VanCamp will be returning to Captain America: Civil War in order to reprise her role of Agent 13.

She appeared in the last installment of the Captain America franchise, Captain America: Winter Soldier, last year.

Reports that the actress will be appearing in the new film come from Deadline, however there are no details of her role and storyline as yet. In Winter Soldier, Agent 13 went by the name Kate.

She was disguised as Steve Rogers' neighbor after S.H.I.E.L.D. ordered her to protect him. In the comics, she is known by her real name, which is Sharon Carter.

She is the niece of Peggy, Captain America's love interest in the first movie of the franchise, Captain America: The First Avenger.

In the films, no link has been made between Sharon Carter and Agent 13, but true fans of Marvel comics have made the connection on their own.

In fact, Sharon Carter was recently the main character of ABC miniseries, Agent Carter. Captain America: Civil War will be in theaters on April 29th, 2016.

The latest actor that has been confirmed to join the movie is Martin Freeman, known for his roles in The Hobbit and Sherlock..

He will be joining a cast that already includes Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie and Daniel Bruhl.

So far, the only details that have been released about the storyline is the fact that it follows the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron.

A rivalry crops up between Captain America and Iron Man after the governments come together, passing a law to regulate superhuman activity.
