'Captain America: Civil War' Cast News: Daniel Bruhl Talks Upcoming Movie & Baron Zemo Role

While it has been rumored for a number of months that Daniel Bruhl would be portraying Baron Zemo in 'Captain America: Civil War,' we finally have a confirmation from the actor himself.

In an interview with The Independent, Bruhl stated:

"I think I can tell you that without being thrown into Marvel prison. For the first few days I'll walk around like a little boy, just amazed by the megalomania of it. It's such a huge project. We could do 20 films with the budget."

The movie will in fact be very huge with the introduction of not only his character, but of Black Panther, Spider-Man, and many more. 'Civil War' will also feature many of the Avengers characters such as Tony Stark.

Fans may be right in calling this movie "Avengers 2.5," with all of its appearances and cameos.

Bruhl's name was found on a leaked casting sheet a couple of months ago, but with him coming forward to speak on his role only makes this movie seem that much closer.

The casting sheet from Movie Casting Call confirmed these actors:

"Starring in Captain America: Civil War is People's Choice Awards winner Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America. Also starring is four-time Golden Globe Award nominee Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, Critics Choice Television Awards nominee Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, two-time Academy Award nominee Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Frank Grillo as Brock Rumlow/Crossbones, two-time Black Reel Awards nominee Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa/Black Panther. Golden Globe Award nominee Daniel Brühl has joined the cast as Baron Zemo."

Since the movie is still in early production, it is possible for even more to hop on board before the film's release.

'Captain America: Civil War' premieres in theaters on May 6th, 2016.
