‘Captain America 3' Movie Spoilers, Rumors: Leaked Emails Reveal Spider-Man Appearance
In the wake of Sony's massive cyber security breach, confidential information has been leaked to the public, including spoilers for the upcoming 'Captain America 3' film. Apparently, Spider-Man might be making an appearance in the forthcoming series blockbuster.
Moreover, other details about the webslinger have been leaked in regards to other feature film appearances set for the future.
Some of this information stems from an email between Columbia Pictures co-president of production Michael De Luca to Sony Pictures Entertainment chief Amy Pascal. Evidently, the email was intended to be confidential, but hackers got their fingertips into Sony's database and unleashed a lot of insider information to news publications.
In an email dated Oct. 13, 2014, De Luca told Pascal, that Spider-man would be appearing in the intro of 'Captain America: Civil War'. He went on to say that the superhero would also be in 'Sinister Six' and his own film in the nearby future.
While this insider information seems undeniable, there's still a chance that none of the above mentioned spoilers will actually happen.
The email went on to mention that Peter Parker, the man behind the Spider-Man mask, will be introduced in the upcoming 'Captain America' film. It also went on to mention how Andrew Garfield will no longer be wearing Spidey's suit in the films.
However, The Hollywood Reporter pointed out that 'Captain America 3' doesn't need Spider-Man for the 'Civil War'.
Those who are familiar with the Marvel comics with the same title, 'Civil War', will know that Spider-man is the third most important character after Captain America and Iron Man. But according to THR, Spidey will only be a distraction in the movie.
According to the book's storyline 'Civil War' is about a battle between Marvel heroes.
Tony Stark is an active supporter of a law which will regulate "costumed heroes" to prevent future tragedies, while Captain America is in the opposition since he believes that the legislation will violate civil rights. Spider-Man, on the other hand is undecided about which side he will join.
On that note, 'Captain America: Civil War' is expected to hit theaters on May 6, 2016.
