'Call the Midwife' Season 5 Finale Premiere, Season 6 News: Series Approved For Another Season?
'Call the Midwife' season 5 finale is injected with a lot of emotions that will be carried over to an "approved" sixth season.
According to Carter Matt, the show will reveal that someone has indeed died in the story. Sister Evangelina's body was found. A lot of people in the community was shocked upon finding out about her death. It was shown that they were all saddened also in the part when they were cleaning and preparing her body for a proper burial.
Dr. Patrick Turner, played by Stephen McGann, realized that the real effects of his prescription to infants. He had a lot of nasty discoveries about his drugs but this is by far the most earth-shocking of all of them. He is now urged to do something about it; come up with a cure as almost all the lives in the city hangs in a balance.
Also, according to Christian Today, Tessie Anselm, played by Rosie Cavaliero tries to accept her grandchild in a time when children who were born before their parents' marriage were looked down upon.
In other news, BBC has approved a sixth season of the show. Executive producer Pippa Harris told Radio Times that he is happy about the extension of the project and he owes it all to the wonderful cast and crew of the show.
"I am delighted that the BBC has decided to commission series six of 'Call The Midwife' even before we have gone on air with series five!" he said. "The ongoing success of 'Call The Midwife' is down to the incredible writing skills of Heidi Thomas and the talent and dedication of our wonderful cast and crew. I hope the audience will enjoy watching series five, which I firmly believe is our strongest yet," he added.
