'Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare' PS4 Beta, Trailer News: Game Features Combat System and Maps [WATCH]
In line with Activision's "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare," the studio has released details on the game's multiplayer beta on the PlayStation 4.
"Infinite Warfare" showcases new combat systems players will enjoy, International Business Times has learned. As per the publication, the game is set to feature Combat Rigs, which are combat systems that allow players to customize their needs. It is added that the multiplayer beta will cover three Combat Rigs, along with two strategy options.
As per the report, the three Rigs are Merc, Synaptic, and Warfighter. The first one is intended for players who give tough defenses while Synaptic refers to a distantly-manipulated droid that helps in quarters battle. Meanwhile, Warfighter is the Rig that suits mid-range assault-style players.
In terms of tactical options, players can chose between two selections - Payloads and Traits. As per the publication, Payload refers to weapons players can obtain in a match and they can also include those to their Combat Rig. On the other hand, Traits refer to passive abilities players can obtain after their kill their foes. Both tactical options are dictated by the player's Combat Rig choice.
"Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare's" beta is also set to feature a triad of maps, IGN has learned. As per the publication, they are Frontier, Frost, and Throwback. The first one is described as a huge space station near Neptune while Frost is a medium-paced linear map situated at a research station on one of Jupiter's moons. Meanwhile, Throwback is also located on a space station and it is reminiscent of a 1950's "Main Street USA" style.
Activision has also released a reveal trailer for the game. It opens with explosions, gunshots, and city destruction, among others. The succeeding sequences show the aftermath of the bombings, which include rescuing survivors and nursing them back to health. Overall, the trailer suggests that the game is set to engage players to a realistic war-gaming experience.
