'Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare' Beta News: Game Glitch Allows Players Fly, Beta Extended

Along with Activision's "Call of Duty: Infinity Warfare" beta stretching on PlayStation 4, its glitch reportedly allows players to fly, as per reports.

On Oct. 18, Twitter user Refine Evil (@RefineEvil) tweeted a video of the game. It opens with his character holding a gun while chasing another character. It appears that the character jumps for movement, but it also floats in air for several seconds.

According to Game Spot, the glitch, which allows the player's character to remain in the air, is actually one of Synaptic's Payloads called Reaper. Hence, it is called "flying" Reaper. As per the publication, the character was basically flying like a "subpar superhero," adding that while the character is vulnerable to attacks in that position, it is still possible to shoot foes while going down. To add, this allows characters to sneak up on innocent enemies.

In this regard, Infinity Ward acknowledged and addressed the issue; in fact, the studio encouraged the game players to exploit the bug while it is there. On Oct. 17, the studio tweeted "We're aware of the "flying" Reaper exploit and we'll be patching it soon. Enjoy it while it lasts! #IWBeta."

According to International Business Times, "Infinite Warfare's" PlayStation 4- exclusive beta features a new map and mode, such as Precint and Kill Confirmed, respectively. Also, the beta was initially set to conclude on Oct. 17, before being extended until Oct. 18. It is slated to run on Oct. 21, as it becomes accessible on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Published by Activision, "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" is set to launch for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Microsoft Windows on Nov. 4.
