'Call Of Duty: Black Ops III' Multiplayer Beta News: COD: Black Ops III to Launch on Aug. 19
Treyarch Studios has given PlayStation 4 users a lot to celebrate.
The game developers have confirmed that PlayStation 4 players will be the first to receive 'Call of Duty: Black Ops III' when the multiplayer version of the game launches.
Treyarch Studios first announced this year at E3 that they would be releasing the third installment in the Black Ops franchise.
In a tweet that the studio recently shared, they confirmed that the exact launch date of the game will be August 19th, and that it will come to the PlayStation 4 first.
"We're excited to announce that the #BlackOps3 Multiplayer Beta will begin on 8/19 starting on PS4. More information coming soon!" shared the studio.
This means that PlayStation users will be the first to get the opportunity to play the game series' new map packs, which has been enjoyed only by Xbox users in the past.
In previous E3 events, Xbox users were always the first in line to get the newest Call of Duty installments.
There is no information as yet about the reason for the switch, but PS4 users would likely not care about the reason.
In order to get access to the beta, players should have pre order Black Ops III before hand.
Those who have preordered on PlayStation Network before the announcement are already eligible to take part in the game's multiplayer beta launch.
Those who have pre ordered should have received a code, which they will use to redeem their order.
Users should expect to get a second code and instruction for accessing the multiplayer beta from Activision in their email a few days before the launch.
