'Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3' News: Treyarch Announces New Modes for CoD
Users of Sony's Playstation 4 game system should probably mark their calendars. Game developer Treyarch has announced that they will be starting a multiplayer beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.
Beginning on August 19th, PlayStation 4 players will have exclusive access to beta testing for the game.
In a message shared on Twitter, the developer teased fans by telling them that more information would be coming soon.
While access to the multiplayer beta will likely be limited to the PlayStation 4, Treyarch has also confirmed that Microsoft Xbox One and PC players will get a chance at a later time.
Before they get access to the beta, Call of Duty fans will be able to check out the zombie mode for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.
At San Diego Comic Con, Treyarch shared "Shadows of Evil", which is the survival mode for the latest installment.
This mode will have its own storyline, and its own XP progression system.
The world is a 1940s Morg City that is inspired by horror movies with four playable characters that each have their own role in the story.
Just like last year's Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare zombie mode, "Shadows of Evil" will feature celebrities, including Ron Perlman, Heather Graham, Neal McDonough and Jeff Goldblum, according to a report by Engadget.
The celebrities will be featured as the characters for the survival mode. Graham is a femme fatale nightclub worker, Goldblum is a magician, McDonough is a corrupt police officer and Perlman is a boxer.
Treyarch has yet to fully explain the progression system, only stating that it will add to the depth and replayability of the zombie mode.
