'Call of Duty: Black Ops 3' Release Date Rumors: New CoD Trailer Bears Striking Similarities to 'Deus Ex' Games
The new trailer that was recently released for Call of Duty: Black Ops III, does not feature any gameplay footage, and while this appears to be the trend the week, the trailer does show a lot of dark sci-fi features.
Some might say that it is "revolutionary" in terms of Call of Duty games, even though it is oddly familiar.
The man featured in the video says, "We will set the technological foundation for an enhanced human experience and we will end disability."
Then, another man says something that shows a different perspective: "In our pursuit of progress, if we undermine the morals that define us, what good is our beloved progress then?"
In the game plot, the United States Supreme Court has declared that discrimination against humans that have been modified goes against the constitution. It is too late however, as the human revolution has already begin and mankind is divided.
The game, Call of Duty Black Ops III, was fully revealed on April 26th and will launch later this year.
A lot of fans note marked similarities between the teaser for the game and the Deus Ex games. In fact, the art director on Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Mankind Divided, Jonathan Jacques-Belletete made some comments about it on Twitter.
He said "Hey @Treyarch, Adam Jensen says welcome to the bandwagon! The liquor bar is at the back ;)".
Later on, he posted the following tweet "We lied guyz. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided actually takes place on the Eastern Front during World War 2. We felt inspired."
