'Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare' News: Activision Releases First DLC Pack January 27th

Get your controllers ready, 'Call of Duty' fans. Activision has announced that they will be releasing the first Downloadable Content pack, or DLC Pack, for 'Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare' on January 27th.

Call of Duty was developed by Sledgehammer Games, and presented from a first-person shooter perspective. This is the first game in the series where holographic images are projected from users' weapons, and players can choose between different types of weaponry. The theme of the game is to kill zombies, although players are given several missions to complete.

Four DLC Packs are being planned for release this year, but Havoc will be released first through Xbox, a proclaimed Call of Duty tradition. Other platforms will need to wait for the packs at until at least a month after Xbox.

Meanwhile, Havoc will be getting the full treatment. Activision managed to acquire big names in the acting industry like John Malkovich, Bill Paxton, and Rose McGowan from Charmed to play roles in the Exo Zombie mode. Jon Bernthal from The Walking Dead will also be featured in the new game.

Exo Zombies is making a real name for itself with all of the attention its getting. The story revolves around the recent zombie takeover of an Atlas research facility. There is a mysterious DNA bioweapon that is the source of the takeover, but stopping the attack will take more than one weapon. Malkovich, Paxton, McGowan and Brnthal will be "un-trained and underprepared" warriors assisting you in the research facility.

On that note, Havoc will also have four new multiplayer maps and custom weapons.
