'Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare' DLC News: Ascendance Update for CoD: Advanced Warfare

Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners will be the first to receive the new DLC pack called Ascendance for Activision's and Sledgehammer's Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare; the official release date is March 31.

Ascendance will include four new multiplayer maps, the second chapter of Exo Zombies, new weapons and a new playlist called Exo Grapple.

The four maps are titled Perplex, Site 244 Climate and Chop Shop. Perplex is set in Sydney, Australia and players must fight their way to control a five-story modular apartment complex. Site 444 revolves around a crashed alien spacecraft on American soil's landmark Mount Rushmore. Climate takes place in a futuristic man-made utopia, and Chop Shop will be set in a black market exoskeleton industrial complex.

Starting with the first DLC expansion of this year, the Exo Zombies is a small gameplay that stars many celebrities such as John Malkovich, Bill Paxton, Rose McGowan and Jon Bernthal. The two new weapons are known as the OHM directed energy light machine gun/shotgun hybrid and the OHM Werewolf custom variant.

The playlist called Exo Grapple was described by Activision, "Exo Grapple gives players a faster way to reach strategic vantage points or a brutal secondary weapon to take down the competition."

Ascendance is priced at $15 or can be part of a Season Pass for $50. The first expansion came in January titled Havoc. Two others will be launching this as well. Ascendance game play has not been released yet, but will make its debut appearance at the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Championship on March 29.

Ascendance will be available to PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC owners one month after the March 31 release date.
