'Call Of Duty' 2016 Rumors, Release Date News: Arriving In November; Gamers Traveling To Space?

The release date of "Call of Duty" 2016 is still going to be in November, at least according to the latest update. However, what's new with the rumors is that the setting is going to be very far off into the future.

A conversation posted by shinobi602, who seems to have first dibs on news related to the game, was shared by Playstation Lifestyle.

The conversation is as follows:

Eggbok: Wasn't Ghosts already sorta futuristic though? Not to the level of Black Ops 3 and Advanced Warfare but still there.

shinobi602: This makes Black Ops 3 feel like the stone age. Metaphorically of course.

El_Chino: Are we talking Battlefield 2142 style?

shinobi602: Very far future. Space combat. Full on sci-fi.

Eurogamer claimed that they are also hearing the same rumors in connection to the "Call of Duty" 2016.

"The game is being developed by Infinity Ward and is not a direct sequel of its previous Call of Duty effort, Ghosts, which received a mixed response," it said.

Meanwhile, the "Call of Duty" 2016 November release date is still on, according to the rumors.

"Both the official announcement and the release date in the Call of Duty series over the years have been somewhat predictable," reported Call of Duty 2 website. "Over the past few years, the official announcement has come during the 1st week in May while the release date has come during the 1st and 2nd week in November."

Judging by past announcements, the truth will be separated from the rumors as Infinity Ward is expected to make some official pronouncement in early May. In fact, according to the site, the developer is looking at the same timeline in releasing "Call of Duty" 2016.
