Budget HTC One M9 Device News: Taiwanese Firm May Launch a Cheaper Version Dubbed One E9
Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer HTC Corporation has just unveiled its latest flagship mobile phone One M9 at the recently concluded Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015 in Barcelona, Spain. While there is no doubt that the device is a premium treat for smartphone users, there are reports that the company is currently working on a budget model of the HTC One M9.
Citing the example of the HTC One E8, which came in a plastic casing, Tech Radar reports that the company may release a new handset, which is likely to be dubbed as the HTC One E9.
The report says that recently week the Chinese division of Upleaks posted what the website expects to be the specs for the purported HTC One E9.
The post by Upleaks suggests that the purported low-priced HTC One M9 will come with a 2GHz MediaTek MT6795 64-bit processor, have 3GB of memory and 32GB storage, boast a 20-megapixel rear camera, and either a 4-megapixel UltraPixel or 13-megapixel front camera (subject to the market where the device will be released). In addition, the purported device will sport Boomsound speakers.
While many of these specs mentioned above are similar or the same as those of the HTC One M9, some of them would definitely be inferior.
It is also speculated that the purported HTC One E9 will come in a dual SIM variant and be available in three colors - white rose gold, brown gold and gray.
Meanwhile, Tech Radar says that though HTC unveiled the One M9 flagship at MWC 2015 recently, tech enthusiasts are still expecting to see a larger version of the device called the HTC One M9 Plus sooner or later. The company may possibly announce the One E9 at the launch of the larger device.
