In an interview with Diane Sawyer, Bruce Jenner explicitly admitted that he will now be identified as a woman.

Speaking to Sawyer, Jenner said, "Yes, for all intents and purposes, I'm a woman. I have the soul of a female and my brain in much more female than it is male, as of now I have all the male parts." Jenner revealed many other secrets in the two-hour long taped interview with Sawyer.

Although this news does come as a surprise to many people, Jenner said that his family, especially his step-children, were let in on the news long before anyone else.

Jenner told the Entertainment Weekly that Kim Kardashian was one of the first people to know about his gender transformation. Speaking to Sawyer, he said, "Kim caught me one time. [Then] she kind of walked out. It was like this big secret in the family, and we never talked about it again," according to the Mirror.

Kim, apparently, brought up the topic yet again, after the news of his transformation was all over the news.
Jenner, in his interview with Sawyer, said he asked Kim if she was okay, she said, "Well I just thought it was one of those subjects we couldn't talk about," according to Entertainment Weekly.

In an interview with NBC's Today Show, Kim Kardashian, admitted that the family is receiving therapy after Bruce Jenner spoke for the first time about his transition into a woman. She also admitted that the revelation was a hard adjustment for the family, but she supports Bruce completely.

Speaking on the interview, she said, "I think there' still an adjustment and there's, you know, family therapy. And we're really close. You know, I see reports that said 'This one doesn't support him and my mom 'feels this way'. And it's all really so made up."

According to reports from the Mirror, Kardashian has been seen visiting Jenner for supporting his decision and taking care of him.
