Bruce Jenner News: Kardashian Family Grateful for Positive Response After Special Episode

As the 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians: About Bruce' E! special finally aired, the aftershock of the show was surprisingly positive and the family is reportedly relieved and happy about it. The Kardashian-Jenner family released a joint statement expressing their gratitude and appreciation from the people.

The two-part special tackling Bruce Jenner's transitioning as a woman from being known to be the patriarch of the family for years was very emotional and it didn't hold anything back from the people. The family that shared almost everything about their lives on television are moving on to the next stage of their lives.

"They are all relieved and so overwhelmed by the positive reaction from the public," a family source revealed to E! News adding that the Kardashian-Jenner sisters were relieved about having the show aired since they filmed it back in January. "The girls have come a long way since the special was taped, but having it air was therapeutic."

The main focus of the special was that Bruce got to explain to his family in detail what he will go through soon and the biggest conversation he had was of course with his ex-wife Kris Jenner. "It was on a Sunday and Bruce out of the blue called Kris and said he was coming over," a source told E! News adding, "There wasn't the usual Keeping Up With the Kardashians crew available, so in order to document their talk, they hustled to get a camera and sound guy they've been working with for years, who are like part of the family."

The conversation was very emotional with Bruce assuring his ex-wife that despite his transition and all the changes attached to it, he will still be the father to their children. "We raised amazing children and those memories will live inside me forever," Bruce told Kris during their conversation which was shown on television. "And I will continue to have more of those wonderful, wonderful memories. And I just want to get through this and do the best damn job of not hurting anybody, and that includes you," he added.

Then Kris responded saying, "I just want you to know that you were a great dad, you were a great friend, and you were a great partner," adding, "At the end of the day, it's not about my feelings. It's about you and I just want you to be happy."
