The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir Premieres 'Pray'; Video Encourages the World to Believe in the Power of Prayer [WATCH HERE]
One of New York City's most prominent churches, The Brooklyn Tabernacle premiered its music video for their song "Pray." They hope to share the video throughout the world and encourage a life of prayer with its powerful message.
The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir released its 29th studio album in February and it features 14 live-recorded songs. The album hit the No.1 spot on the iTunes Gospel music charts and now, with the release of their single "Pray" and it's video that showcases a montage of the church and people from all walks of life crying out to God, the leaders of the ministry are looking to make a massive impact. The video encourages prayer for all things such as, addiction, poverty, brokenness and more.
"I hope that you enjoy and are encouraged by this video. Be sure to share it with others so that more people will believe God to answer when they PRAY," Senior Pastor Jim Cymbala said in a social media post.
The Brooklyn Tabernacle has always managed to stay below the radar despite the massive success they have had with their choir and that is largely because the church is taught to esteem God alone. Led by Carol Cymbala, the multiple Grammy Award winning group is comprised of over 200 choir members and has likewise recorded over 200 songs.
"I just want to see people drawn to Jesus Christ. I want the music to be the arrow that points them to him," Carol is quoted saying on the choirs Facebook page.
"With so many tragic events happening in the world today, Pray serves as a reminder of the importance of having a relationship with Jesus, because communion is what He longs for His people to have with Him," says Carol in a press release, "My hope is that the songs on this album will draw believers and non-believers to worship and believe in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."
