The Brooklyn Nets will go head-to-head with the Washington Wizards on January 16 at the Verizon Center in Washington, District of Columbia.

The game will begin at 7:00 pm ET and can be viewed online through live stream via the link provided below (free for subscribers).

The Wizards (27-12) are attempting to extend their winning streak to three games when they defend their home court versus the Nets at the Verizon Center.

Previously, the Wizards defeated the Chicago Bulls by a final score of 105-99 on Wednesday night; a game where Washington point guard John Wall had 21 points, 9 assists, and 2 steals which ignited his squad to the victory.

"It was important for us," said Bradley Beal to reporters.

"We say we want to be this elite team. We say we want to be one of the best teams in the East. You have to be able to beat a team that is also elite on the back-to-back, and that really speaks a lot for your team."

Meanwhile, the Nets (16-23) are looking to avoid a possible eight game losing streak when they battle the Wizards on Friday night.

The Nets were defeated by the Memphis Grizzles by a final score of 103-92 after Brooklyn center Mason Plumlee had 15 points, 9 rebounds and a block in the loss on January 14.

"They're a very good defensive team, a very good rebounding team and that's why they're one of the best teams in the league," said Nets head coach Lionel Hollins to reporters.

"Maybe we've maxed out, I don't know, but that's what we're striving for."
