According to Billboard, Adele won the British female solo artist, British single, British global success, and British album of the year at the Brit Awards, which was held at the O2 arena in London. As per the publication, the singer's accolades reflect her successful comeback, after she dominated sales charts following "25's" release in fall.

In her interview with Billboard, Adele said that to come back after so long away and had been so warmly received was really lovely. The "Rolling in the Deep" singer also expressed her gratitude to the crowd, including the other girls that were nominated, adding that they were all amazing.

The event also saw Adele perform on stage and deliver her version of "When We Were Young," which concluded the show in an explosive manner that the crowd was "drawn to its feet."

David Bowie's band also performed a tribute to the late legend, as per Telegraph UK. In a statement, Bowie's friend and former collaborator Annie Lennox said that for her, it was almost impossible to mention Bowie's name in the past tense. She added that everything he had represented as an artist had been and always would be vital and incredibly present. For Lennox, Bowie was a cutting-edge artistic genius and he continued to live on through his music.
