'Breaking Bad' Series News: Vince Gilligan Reveals What Happened to Huell
There is nothing that perturbs fans more than a finale that doesn't tie up all the loose ends of its beloved characters. Fans of the 'Breaking Bad' series will remember that a certain character named Huell never got any closure.
Huell was Saul Goodman's gentle giant bodyguard in the show, and while his lines were usually very limited, his comical appearance in his few scenes made him a fairly lovable character.
"Hank and Gomie snapped him up as part of a ruse and left him in a safe house near the end of season 5. Last we saw, the camera was wistfully lingering on him as he stared down the door, awaiting help and liberation. Theories on theories arose trying to guess what happened next for Saul's amazingly subpar bodyguard," writes EW.
Creator Vince Gilligan has finally come forward in a new 'Breaking Bad' book to reveal the fate of Huell at the end of the series. He states:
"Yes, sadly he's waiting morosely on that sofa, looking like a lost puppy... [Laughs] No. It's likely that Agent Van Oster keeps in touch with DEA headquarters. So when he learns Gomez and Hank have gone missing, he would in short order tell his superiors what they were up to. Within a matter of hours, really not that many in story time, Huell will be taken back to HQ. They'll question him, find out what he knows-which isn't much-and he'll be let out on the street. Right now, he's doing what Huell does best, whatever that is. He's out and about as a free man."
Fans really took to the character and due to his history with Saul Goodman, fans have a chance to see him in the upcoming seasons of 'Better Call Saul.'
