Brandon Heath hit NYC on tour this month; not only to sing his popular song "Give Me Your Eyes" for the crowd, but also to sing "give me your hand" to his long time girlfriend.

Christian Billboard chart topping singer Brandon Heath has much to celebrate this Christmas season. He is currently on the Hits Deep tour with TobyMac, Mandisa, Colton Dixon, Jamie Grace, and Chris August. Their nationwide tour made its way to New York City's Madison Square Garden on December 7^th.

Heath's set began with him singing his top songs for the fans and midway through, in between songs he stopped and said, "Today's been a emotional day for me. Not only am I playing Madison Square Garden but I asked my girlfriend to marry me."

He then went into detail about the proposal: "I took her to the Central Park ice skating rink, got on one knee and proposed. She said yes!"

He was eager to share that with the sold out crowd whose simultaneous awes echoed in the theater.

When asked in the past about relationships, Brandon admits to knowing heart-break. "Sometimes we try to be strong, acting as if nothing is wrong and hoping that we will just get over losing a relationship. What's important is that you grieve when those things happen. When something hurts, mourn it, let it hurt you, and go through that; and then you will find your joy on the other side," he said to Back Seat Writer.

the five-time Dove Award winning Heath has been pretty much silent about his personal relationships in the public eye, but this was just one of those joyous moments he had to share.
