Miami Heat NBA 2015 News, Rumors: Chris Bosh Ready for Regular Physical Activities?
The Miami Heat were supposed to challenge LeBron James' Cleveland Cavaliers for Eastern Conference superiority when they got Third Team All-NBA Goran Dragic at the trade deadline. That was a short-lived bubble of dream, though, as Chris Bosh was soon announced to miss the rest of the season because of blood clots in his lungs.
It may not have anything to do with the playoffs, but the Heat and their fans got great new recently as Bosh joined the team for the first time in close to a month, and could be cleared to start regular physical activities later this month.
"All the love and energy has really, really allowed me to be back here. Not under the circumstances I want to be, but beggars can't be choosers. Very happy to be here and doing a lot better," said Bosh, who could be back to resuming "full basketball activities" in September.
As reported by Yahoo Sports, Bosh had a busy start to the week when 35 Heat employees arrived at his house Monday, surprising the All-Star and two-time NBA champion with some 10,000 get-well cards.
Following his diagnosis, Bosh admitted there was a brief discussion on whether he would ever get back on the court, but said that was quickly put to rest saying, "I knew I was going to play basketball again."
He went in front of the Heat fans before Monday's game to express his gratitude to those in attendance. "I want to thank each and everyone of you for all the love," Bosh said while also encouraging fans to support the team in their push for a playoff spot.
Bosh last played for the in Feb. 11, right before the All-Star break. He had been dealing with pain in his back. After a short holiday in Haiti, he experienced intensified pain, and went straight to the hospital.
It was a scary diagnosis amplified with the passing of former NBA player Jerome Kersey due to blood clots in his lung that same week.
