Since fans of "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" were left hanging with the new plot developments revealed in chapter 4, spoilers and speculations about chapter 5 continue to flood the web.

In the previous chapter, Boruto was finally found by his father Naruto. Things were quite problematic for Boruto, since Naruto was pretty much against the use of Kote in the Chuunin exams. Developed by the Science Ninja Weapons Team, a Kote is a ninja tool which allows its user to cast skills they do not normally have without having to be activated by chakra. Back in chapter 1, Naruto stopped Katasuke from introducing Kote in the Chuunin.

One of the biggest questions for the upcoming chapter is how Naruto will react when he finds out about Boruto's use of the Kote. There are speculations that his discovery will put even more strain on his relationship with his son, which is very ill-timed, since the two were just beginning to have a special bond in the previous chapter. It can be recalled that Boruto was overjoyed when Naruto showed pride in his passing the exams.

Some fans also speculate that Naruto will humiliate his son in chapter 5, and Boruto will take his father's reaction too harshly.

Other spoilers for the chapter suggest that two mysterious characters will arrive, changing the tone of the series from a friendly Chuunin match to a serious one. In chapter 2, these two villains were shown collecting the chakra of the eight-tailed beast. There are speculations that in the new chapter, they will set out on a mission to gather all the chakras of the tailed beast.
