'Borderlands 3' News, Rumors: Game Reveals Another Official Name? Title Set To Start After ‘Battleborn’

In line with Gearbox Software's "Borderlands 3," it is revealed that the game title may have another official name.

In his statement during the PAX East gaming event in Boston, Massacussetts (via Christian Post), Gearbox CEO randy Pitchford said that they could call it "Borderlands 4" for all they knew. This means that "Borderlands 3" is actually happening, though the game maker is not set to call it that way.

As per the publication, "Borderlands'" pre-sequel had been made by 2K Australia and it is revealed that Gearbox is set to commence working on "Borderlands 3" after the completion of "Battleborn" and its DLC's production.

According to Metro UK, "Battleborn" is also set to feature several "Borderlands" Easter eggs, adding that the DLC will be the holder of the prime clues about the new game title. As per the publication, there would also be "Battleborn" characters set to appear in Rock Band 4.

With Gearbox at the overall development of the video game, "Battleborn" developer Scott Kester is on board to be "Borderlands 3's" art director while Randy Varnell is set to be the creative director.

Also, Mikey Neuman will be the game writer and the voice of Scooter, the adorable mechanic. According to Neuman, it is uncertain if Scooter is set to be part of the final gameplay, but the character has a son named Scooper. The game writer revealed that he had started to work on the character and the final look at the character is yet to be revealed.

Exact details on the release of "Borderlands 3" are yet to be revealed.
