New details on the spoilers and release date of Fox "Bones" season 12 have surfaced and these include Bones Brennan's potential death, along with the return of her former boyfriend, Sully.

Series actress Emily Deschanel, who plays Brennan's character in the show, spoke her thoughts on whether he character dies in "Bones" season 12. In her interview at San Diego Comic Con, as cited by Game N Guide, the actress teased that Brennan would have to face several criminal cases, which put her life at risk.

Deschanel also hinted that season 12 is set to feature a sad plot angle. In her interview with TV Line, the actress said she knew there was going to be some sadness in the next season. However, she reassured that the story might have a good ending overall.

"Hopefully not in death. I hope there's some kind of happy ending on some level," Deschanel said.

In other news, Brennan's former boyfriend Sully is set to re-enter the scene in "Bones" season 12. As per Ecumenical News, the information ignited following after actor Eddie McClintock took to Twitter a photo of himself, along with the ladies of the show. Together with the actor were Deschanel, Michaela Conlin who plays Angela, and Tamara Taylor who plays Cam.

According to the report, Sully's return to the series will highly like see his dynamics with Brennan, along with David Boreanaz's Booth, Brennan's husband. Sully and Booth's dynamics are also expected, since the former has become part of Brennan's life first before the latter.

"Bones" season 12 is assumed to air in 2017, with Fox yet to announce the exact release date.
