'Bones' Season 12 Premiere Date: Eddie McClintock Comes Back As Special Agent Tim Sullivan?

The upcoming season of "Bones" will be the show's final season, so it's going to feature some old characters from the past as it goes on full circle.

According to reports, Eddie McClintock is going to star next season to reprise his role as Special Agent Tim Sullivan, more commonly known as Sully. He has recently been occupied with other projects, including "Warehouse 13," but he has confirmed his return in "Bones" season 12. The actor himself initially revealed his comeback via a post on his official Twitter account.

In the series, Sully is the former love interest of Temperance Brennan. He was portrayed as someone who lives the moment. It was because of this trait of his that his relationship with Brennan ended so fast. It can be recalled that the last time they were together, Brennan was not able to go on a boat excursion with him because she never wanted to be away from home. Just because of that, they decided to go their separate ways.

While McClintock's return has already been confirmed, the reason for his return remains unknown. At this point in the series, Brennan is already married to Seeley Booth, and they already have kids. It remains a mystery how bringing up his character in season 12 will impact the story.

There are rumors that McClintock will appear in just one episode in the upcoming season, but nothing has been confirmed yet as of this writing.

"Bones" season 12 is expected to return in early 2017.
