Bobbi Kristina Brown Latest: Cissy Houston's Statement about Bobbi's Condition

News about the current condition of Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown is slowly being clarified by her family members after Bobby's recent "emotional" speech updating everyone that Bobbi Kristina is finally awake. According to the latest update, the famous daughter of the two music icons is indeed awake but her condition is allegedly irreversible.

It was Cissy Houston, the mother of the late Whitney Houston who has the latest update for the fans and supporters of Bobbi Kristina who has been battling her brain damage since last January 31 after being found face down in her bathtub.

"Meeting with the doctors and understanding that she can live in this condition for a lifetime truly saddens me," Cissy said in a statement adding, "We can only trust in God for a miracle at this time." It would seem that Cissy's statement is the most accurate one as Bobby's previous statement at a concert was filled with emotion leading the fans to thinking that Bobbi Kristina was recovering when in fact her situation is just the same, except that she can already open her eyes.

"I can say today, Bobbi is awake. She's watching me," Bobby said in a previous concert at the Dallas' Verizon Theatre. Meanwhile, after Bobby's statement, his wife Alicia Etheredge-Brown was quick to clarify why Bobby said the misleading statement.

"My husband made an attempt to correct the negative comments he must endure on a daily basis from both family and the public regarding his daughter's medical condition. He is encouraged by the steps that Bobbi Kristina has made since her hospitalization on January 31, 2015," Alicia said in a statement.

However, the good news is that Bobbi Kristina is in rehab but it is still unknown as to when she will recover if ever she will. "Doctors have indicated that she will have a long life," attorney Christopher Brown said in a statement. "However, Bobbi Kristina is presently embarking on a rehabilitation process, and the quality of her life will not be known for years to come."
