The first official trailer for Lev Spiro's comedy sports film "Blue Mountain State: The Rise of Thadland" has been released and it promises humor, according to its trailer.

Running in more than a minute, the "Blue Mountain State: The Rise of Thadland" first official trailer opened with Darin Brooks' Alex Moran welcoming Alan Ritchson's Thad Castle in what they called Thadland. According to The Hawk, the place looked like a lame version of a carnival, a small theme park with lots of ride and partying people.

Moran added that the greatest invention was in Thadland. With his remote control, he told Castle that in Thadland, it always snowed cocaine, which was then followed by Castle's humorous and dramatic spin. Castle also gave his message to the people in Thadland, and shouted his final statement "This is Thadland!'

"Blue Mountain State: The Rise of Thadland" centers on Thad Castle as he goes pro into the NFL, only to discover that he has a clean slate in life to start a new one.

According to Brobible, Thad was one of the most "unintentionally hilarious" characters in the television history and he was a lad who had had a mental problem due to losing his father's pocket pussy. He also took extreme doses of hallucinogenics, resulting to false visions like a zombie attacking him on the grid iron.

With the chance to start a new life, it is assumed that Castle's life could be smooth sailing, provided that he does not consume another batch of the addictive substance.

The film stars Sam Jones III, Jimmy Tatro, Page Kennedy, Chris Romano, Frankie Shaw, Brooks as Moran, and Alan Ritchson as Castle, among others.

With Spiro at the helm of the film, Eric Falconer, Romano, and Ritchson are on board to pen the script. Carl Beyer, James Bryant, Ali Jazareyo, and Viviana Zarragoitia will co-produce the film.

Spiro's "Blue Mountain State: The Rise of Thadland" is set to premiere in theaters in the United States in 2016. Exact release date is yet to be revealed.
