"Blindspot" season 2 is going to put cards on the table regarding Jane Doe and Orion's real identities. This was confirmed by series creator Martin Gero himself, who also revealed that the premiere episode of the upcoming series will pick up from the events in the final episode of season 1.

According to Gero, the first two episodes of season 2 will feature exciting events. Episode 1 opens following the tragic events in the season 1 finale, including the arrest of Jane, the death of Mayfair and the team finding out the truth about Orion and Daylight.

Gero also added that season 2 will offer loads of information on Orion.

"The whole team will now be brought up to speed on Daylight and will get a lot of info on Orion," he said.

The first episode of the next installment will be even more explosive as it reveals who Jane Doe really is, now that Weller is convinced that she and Taylor Shaw are not the same. Gero teased that as the team knows about Jane Doe's real name and her past, they will not be happy about it.

In the premiere episode, Jane will be interrogated regarding the death of Mayfair as Patterson, Zapanta, Weller and Reed have a hunch that she is the culprit.

"Even though she was not directly responsible, it's going to be initially hard for them to not blame her for Mayfair's death. It's a difficult thing for all of them," said the series creator.

"Blindspot" season 2 airs every Wednesday, 8:00 P.M. on NBC.
