Fans speculate that what happened to Ichigo was a result of Inner Ichigo and his Hollow counterparts becoming friends at last. Both entities worked separately before but now act like Yin and Yang. There are also speculations that a small conversation will take place between the two entities, and that the Hollow version will be inclined to destroy Yhwach.
