Blake Lively, 27 year old actress, business owner and new mother, has long been a style icon in Hollywood. With that in mind, it follows naturally that she would try her hand at designing clothes with her knowledge of fashion.

The designs that she has come up with are stunning, and she has co created clothes for her new line that are both aesthetically and environmentally friendly.

On May 28^th, Lively posted a photograph of her first dress, which was a retro inspired piece with a keyhole white tie top and a light pink skirt.

She captioned the photograph, writing, "I may not be able to draw worth a lick, but I am proud of this dress I co-designed with Amour Vert for @preserve_us You better send me pics if you buy it! I want to share your photos!! #PRSRV so I see it".

The dress is just one piece among a dozen which are part of a capsule collection that the actress co designed with Amour Vert, an environmentally conscious brand.

The dress will be sold exclusively on her lifestyle website, Preserve.

Currently, there are two styles from her collection which will be available for pre order before they ship on June 5^th.

Lively promises to continue to share more of her designs in the following weeks, which include t-shirts that will be giving back to Mother Nature. For every shirt that is bought, a tree will be planted.

Lively has also joined forces with another label, Sam & Lavi, creating a collection of bold and leafy trousseaus. Fans cannot wait to get their hands on the Gossip Girl star's designs.
