Blackburn Rovers vs. Liverpool Preview, Schedule, Live Stream Link: Football Match Kicks Off April 8

Brendan Rodgers and the Liverpool Reds look to avoid another cup exit at the hands of the Blackburn Rovers when they meet for their long-awaited cup quarterfinal replay Wednesday at Ewood Park.

It hasn't been a smooth ride to the quarterfinal stage for Liverpool, towing with them recent poor league results going into the winner-take-all match. This will be the Reds second replay of the four rounds they've been part of, and come after a scoreless draw in the first game at Anfield.

Gary Bowyer's boys, on the other hand, comes in having already given the boot to two Premiere League teams"”Stoke City and Swansea City"”both in convincing fashion.

Liverpool will have to overcome the odds without Steven Gerrard, Martin Skrtel, and Emre Can"”all of who are serving suspensions, with the latter earning his red card just last weekend at the Emirates.

The Rovers, though, are not devoid of the injury bug themselves; as the rematch with Liverpool nears, as many as 10 players could be out with a variety of injuries. Last weekend, striker Rudy Gestede was forced off because of a troublesome hamstring, and that same issue should be a concern for Bowyer.

Liverpool will have to get their act together despite facing an injury-depleted team just to keep the slim hopes of their season alive. The Reds' already spotty defense will be further weekend by Can's suspension, but with Gestede still questionable, the Rovers may not have enough firepower to take advantage of the Reds' weaknesses.

Rodgers can be expected to pull out all the stops to try and win his first trophy since taking over as manager of Liverpool. A semifinal date at Wembley Stadium is stake for both teams, and fans can expect a game filled with gritty determination.

The match is scheduled for kickoff at 11:45 a.m. E.T. For a live stream link, click here.
