'Black Sails' Season 3 Premiere, Air Date: Starts At The Wake of The Cruel Destruction of Charles Town?

Recently, Starz has released the premiere date for the season 3 of "Black Sails." The Treasure Island prequel series starred by Jessica Parker Kennedy, Toby Stephens and Hannah New will premiere on Saturday, January 23 at 9 p.m.

The premium cable network also revealed new photos of its season 3 according to Deadline. It was reported that the season will start at the wake of the cruel destruction of Charles Town; where the world is now at the hands of Captain Flint, played by Toby Stephens. When the unstoppable campaign of destruction and evil worsens and becomes even more uncontrollable, it will now be up to John Silver, played by Luke Arnold, to find the man within the monster. On the other hand, with Eleanor Guthrie gone, Jack Rackham and Captain Charles Vane find it difficult to secure Nassau for the ages.

In other news, the recently announced fourth season will start its production in Cape Town, South Africa.

"Black Sails" is created by Jonathan E. Steinberg and Robert Levine. The executive producers are Michael Bay, Brad Fuller, Andrew Form, Chris Symes and Dan Shotz.

The show first air on January 25, 2014 and got high review scores; getting 8/10 from the International Movie Database while Rotten Tomatoes scored it 64% for its season 1 and 100% for season 2.

Black Sails also received four nominations for Outstanding Main Title Theme Music, Outstanding Main Title Design, Outstanding Special Visual Effects in a Supporting Role and Outstanding Sound Editing for a Series at the 66th Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards. The series won Outstanding Special Visual Effects in a Supporting Role and Outstanding Sound Editing for a Series.
