'Black Mirror' Season 3 Release Date: Series Creators Reveal About Technology-Society Dynamics

"Black Mirror " season 3 is coming and executive producers Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones revealed the role of technology in the show.

In their interview at the Television Critics Association's press tour on July 27, as cited by Variety, Brooker and Jones unveiled that Mike Schur, Rashida Jones, and Dan Trachtenberg, penned an episode for the third season of the sci-fi show.

According to Brooker, the episode starred "Jurassic World" actress Bryce Dallas Howard and it had been a social satire about identity in the social media age. The executive producer added that that was about the most boring way he could describe it.

On the other hand, it is revealed that Trachtenberg's episode has a video game theme. As per Brooker, 2016 was free publicity for their show, as people were always coming up to him and say that that was a bit "Black Mirror." He added that with the situation they were finding themselves in across the globe, he did not think there was anything where they had thought they should have gone further.

The executive producer even mentioned Nintendo's "Pokemon Go." "I didn't see Pokemon Go coming," he said.

Moreover, the show creators pointed out that "Black Mirror" season 3 was not against technology. In the interview, as cited by Independent, Brooker said that technology was never the villain in the show and it was about human failings and human messes. Jones added that the tech was not even present, adding that it was about society and how people communicated.

"The stories tend to be about the modern age and the modern world that we live in," Jones said.

More details on the release date of "Black Mirrors" season 3 are yet to be revealed.
