Bindi Irwin News: Steve Irwin's Daughter Posts Tribute to Father After 9th Anniversary of His Death

The recent Labor Day weekend was fun for many but for Bindi Irwin, it was a little lonely as she revealed that she has missed her late father Steve Irwin posting a heartwarming tribute last weekend on social media for her dad on his 9th death anniversary.

Who knew it was already nine years since the famous 'Crocodile Hunter' Steve, died in a tragic accident of him being stabbed in a chest by a stingray while shooting a wildlife documentary on September 4, 2006.

It was a sad day but the all-grown up eldest child of Irwin, Bindi remembered the good moments with his father especially since it was also Father's day in Australia when she posted her tribute photo of her dad posing with a crocodile. "Thinking about home today," Bindi wrote alongside the photo.

"Father's Day is today in Australia and everyone is celebrating at Australia Zoo. It's such a special time of year, I hope everyone who comes to the zoo today is able to enjoy it with our gorgeous animals," she added.

"No matter where I am in the world, this day means such a lot to me," she continued. "My heart forever lives @AustraliaZoo-just like Dad's always did."

The Australia Zoo is apparently the family's wildlife park and home and the zoo even marked the date November 15 as the Steve Irwin Day since it was two weeks after his death when Bindi also spoke for her father during the memorial service.

"After losing Dad, there was the idea that none of us have forever," Bindi previously told Sunday Style for the cover. "It really affects you. It makes you want to live each day as if it's your last."

Meanwhile, the 17-year-old Bindi has been doing great in her career especially since she is the latest partner of pro dancer Derek Hough for the 21st season of Dancing With the Stars. For sure, Irwin is very much proud of his daughter.
