Billboard's Hot 100 List News: One Direction's 'Drag Me Down' Debuts at No. 3 [VIDEO]
Billboard has just announced the latest list of popular songs for the week, Aug. 22, 2015, which includes tracks like One Direction's "Drag Me Down," The Weeknd's "Can't Feel My Face," and OMI's "Cheerleader." The songs were comiled by Nielson Music and the Top 10 singles from the Billboard Hot 100 chart are listed below.
1. "Can't Feel My Face" by The Weeknd (album "Beauty Behind The Madness"). Release date: June 8, 2015.
2. "Cheerleader" by OMI (Single). Release date/ year: 2012 (Original) / May 19, 2015 (Remix)
3. "Drag Me Down" by One Direction (Single). Release date: July 31, 2015.
4. "Watch Me" by Silento (Single). Release year: 2015
5. "Lean On" by Major Lazer and DJ Snake featuring M0 (album "Peace Is the Mission"). Release date: March 2, 2015
6. "Bad Blood" by Taylor Swift featuring Kendrick Lamar ("1989"). Release date: May 17, 2015.
7. "Fight Song" by Rachel Platten (album "Fight Song"). Release date: Feb. 19, 2015.
8. "See You Again" by Wiz Khalifa featuring Charlie Puth (album "Furious 7"). Release date: March 17, 2015.
9. "Trap Queen" by Fetty Wap (album "Up Next"). Release date/ year: 2015.
10. "My Way" by Fetty Wap featuring Monty (Single). Release date: July 17, 2015.
According to IB Times, "Cheerleader" by OMI was toppled by "Can't Feel My Face" by The Weeknd from its reign on top of the Billboard Hot 100. In the meantime, "Drag Me Down" by One Direction made its debut at the third spot of the chart. This new entry forced other songs, including "Watch Me" by Silento, "Trap Queen" by Fetty Wap and "Bad Blood" by Taylor Swift featuring Kendrick Lamar, to slide down the list.
After reigning at the top for some time, "See You Again" by Wiz Khalifa featuring Charlie Puth continues to go down the chart. This song was at the top of the chart, especially during the release of the 'Furious 7' starring Vin Diesel and the late Paul Walker. At the same time, "Shut Up And Dance" by Walk The Moon also slided to the 14th position from its previous spot at Top 10 during the week of Aug. 15.
