Bill Cosby News: Malcolm-Jamal Warner Says ‘Cosby Show’ Is Now ‘Tarnished’

In the wake of the sexual assault allegations against Bill Cosby, many were left wondering what has happened or what will happen to his legacy in comedy and on television. In that regards former 'Cosby Show' actor Malcolm-Jamal Warner was quoted saying that the classic series is now "tarnished" forever.

In an interview with the Associated Press, Warner talked about how 'The Cosby Show' held up against negative stereotypes that were portrayed against people of color in film and on television.

He was quoted saying, "we've always had The Cosby Show to hold up against that. And the fact that we no longer have that, that's the thing that saddens me the most because in a few generations the Huxtables will have been just a fairy tale."

However, since an onslaught of allegations against Bill Cosby has been making headlines for the last year, he believes the legacy of the show is no longer what it used to be.

For those that may not know, 'The Cosby Show' portrayed the Huxtables everyday life and showcased all the challenges they'd face over the years. With issues like growing pains, curfews, and car accidents, 'The Cosby Show' was an iconic American family making an impact and serving as inspirations to many.

Stepping back, Malcolm-Jamal Warner who played Theo on the show commented on the allegations back in January, saying it was "just as painful" to learn that Bill Cosby was going through his ordeal as it is "to hear any woman talk about sexual assault."

On that note, and as it stands, comedian Bill Cosby has not yet been charged with any crime, however an investigation is ongoing.
