‘The Big Bang Theory’ Season 9 Episode 11 Spoilers: Are Amy, Sheldon Going To Tie The Knot In ‘The Opening Night Excitation?’

Whether Amy and Sheldon tie the knot after spending the night together is set to be revealed in "The Big Bang Theory" season 9 episode 11.

"The Big Bang Theory" season 9 episode 11 is entitled "The Opening Night Excitation." In his interview with Fox411 at a Hollywood Radio and TV Society lunchein in Beverly Hills, "The Big Bang Theory" creator and executive producer Chuck Lorre indicated that Amy and Sheldon's wedding was very much a possibility.

Lorre said nothing was on the table and the show continued to grow in ways he would never have anticipated.

According to Lorre, the storyline was made by head writer Steve Molaro, who had been working on it for several months. Lorre said that it had been handled with a lot of delicacy, along with the thought that there was a very elegant way the episode had been written.

The executive producer also said that the duo had taken a very large step forward, but it did not damage their relationship.

"The Big Bang Theory" season 9 cast member did not also want the duo to split up. In her Grok Nation Blog, the actress wrote that she loved any scenes at all that she had with Jim Parsons. She added that she could say that she preferred doing scenes where Amy and Sheldon were not broken up against scenes were they were broken up.

Amy and Sheldon first met in "The Big Bang Theory" season 3, at a time when an internet dating site chose Amy to be Sheldon's perfect mate.

Talking to an audience of TV insiders at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, Lorre said he would never have dreamed of the storyline when they had started the show. In fact, the executive producer admitted that he had actually imagined that Sheldon's character had been asexual.
