Actress Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, who portrays the character of Penny in the CBS comedy television drama series 'The Big Bang Theory,' has revealed through an Instagram post on Wednesday that the cast and crew have completed the filming of the series' Season 8 finale titled 'The Commitment Determination.'

IB Times reports that the actress also thanked her fans and friends for all their support, posting: "That's a wrap on season 8 @bigbangtheory_cbs!!!! See you next year! Thank you to all the fans and to these special friends who joined and supported me in tonight's big finale :)"

In fact, it is speculated that the finale will be a special one for the actress' character as well as her onscreen fiance Leonard, and, if rumors are to be believed, they will eventually finalize a date for their much-awaited wedding.

Despite the fact that Leonard and Penny have been engaged for some time now, when it comes to finalizing their wedding dater, the two have been procrastinating. From the time when they have been engaged, the focus of the show has been on Penny's new job and the manner in which her financial independence has influenced her relationship with Leonard.

Likewise, even Amy and Sheldon have been dilly-dallying while taking a decision regarding the next step in their relationship. It has been more than five years since Amy and Sheldon went on their first date, and now it appears that Amy wants much more out of her relation with Sheldon.

However, prior to taking the next step, Sheldon will question Leonard and Penny regarding their indecision to move ahead in their lives. In a recent interview with TVGuide, executive producer Steve Molaro said, "Sheldon has progress and relationships on his mind and wants to know just in fact why Leonard and Penny going so slow." Molaro added, "If they're an example of who's progressing, why don't they have a wedding date?"

Moralo also teased that by the end of the episode, all four will "make life-changing and series-changing decisions about their relationships." Now it remains to be seen if these life-changing decisions will actually lead to one couple quitting their relationship.

'The Big Bang Theory' Season 8 finale titled 'The Commitment Determination' airs on Thursday, May 7, on CBS. The official synopsis reads, "Sheldon pushes Leonard and Penny to choose a date for their wedding and deals with dramatic changes in his own relationship with Amy."
