Fans of the CBS hit series, 'The Big Bang Theory' are anxiously awaiting the final episode in Season 8, as two of the most popular characters are engaged and will have to get married sooner or later. For now, while the pair has yet to be married on the show, there's still a chance that the final episode in Season 8 will showcase the wedding ceremony between Leonard and Penny.

On that note, fans looking to find out more, before the big reveal, will have to check out a recently released promo video for the episode 24 entitled, "The Commitment Determination." In the promotional video, Sheldon and Amy share an intimate kiss, while Leonard and Penny talk about running off to Las Vegas to elope.

With regards to the inside scoop, and some of the spoilers that stem from the cast of the show, Executive Producer Steve Molaro recently dished out some details about the Sheldon and Amy's future.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter he said, "She's fed up with how slow their relationship is progressing over the past five years," adding, "So she puts him up against a wall and says, 'What are we doing?'"

Beyond that, Sheldon goes ahead and makes things a touch worse by saying that it's been well over a year since the Penny and Leonard got engaged and there's no real wedding date set in stone at the moment.

"He goes, 'You two haven't picked a wedding date yet. Why not?' So that comes to a head, too," Molaro mentioned.

"It has been five years, and even though things have been progressing, for Amy, it's still, for her, not quite at the speed she'd like, so she really starts pushing back, and he's got relationships on his mind because of that," Molaro told THR, "He wants to know why he's getting grief about moving slowly, where if Leonard and Penny are an example of a couple moving forward, they've been engaged for over a year and can't even pick a date. So he starts poking at that and making them ask themselves the same questions. Both of those couples -- Sheldon and Amy and Leonard and Penny -- make some huge, life-changing decisions."

Evidently, both of the big relationships on the show will come under the microscope as some serious developments will surely take place in the Season 8 finale of 'The Big Bang Theory'.

However, EP Steve Molaro was not done yet giving fans the inside scoop on what's going to happen in the upcoming episode of the CBS series.

He said to TV Line, "Penny and Leonard would tell you the reason is she's busy with her new career and things are really great between them and they're in no rush."

Adding, "But, underneath it all, what's the real reason? That all comes out. The show has always been Leonard and Sheldon, our single bachelors living in that apartment," and "But we're going right into the heart of that at the end of the season."

Last but not least, the official synopsis for the next and final episode of TBBT from The Hollywood Hills reads: Sheldon (Jim Parsons) is going to push Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting) to choose a date for their wedding and will deal with dramatic changes in his own relationship with Amy (Mayim Bialik).
