Justin Bieber Lawsuit News: New Face of Calvin Klein Calls for Photoshopped GIF Image Retraction
Justin Bieber's venture into being the new face of Calvin Klein has stirred quite the Internet frenzy since the release of the campaign's photos and video. So much so that now, the multimillionaire pop star's camp has threatened to file a lawsuit.
This was after website BreatheHeavy.com released an alleged GIF photo of Bieber in the Calvin Klein campaign, which suggested that certain body parts (chest, back, quads, hands, amongst others) were increased in size.
The 20-year-old's camp denied use of Photoshop on the photos, and sent BreatheHeavy, as reported by the Huffington Post, a cease-and-desist letter, which requested that the website remove the GIF and admit to falsehood.
"Team Bieber sent BreatheHeavy a cease and desist letter because of the alleged un-retouched Calvin Klein photo we posted, asking we remove the picture in question as well as provide a retraction," the BreatheHeavy released statement read.
"Because BretheHeavy is not about making anyone feel bad or intentionally stirring the pot (and are definitely not here for lawsuits), we shall retract the story per request. We sincerely apologize to Bieber for the hit to his ego and to the millions of tweens on social media we upset."
Calvin Klein has been getting a lot of free press (and Internet hits) for the campaign, with reports also surfacing that Bieber flirted with 31-year-old Lara Stone, the model who worked with him on the ads.
A source told HollywoodLife that while they were doing the shoot, Bieber "was very forward" and asked Stone out on a date. It is said that Stone respectfully declined, since she is married and carried on professionally with the shoot.
On that note, Justin Bieber fans do not seem to care for Stone, especially since she allegedly rejected him, as they posted hateful messages about her on Twitter.
Stone is married to English comedian, actor, author, television presenter, and activist David Walliams, who responded to the hullabaloo with his trademark humor, posting a photo of the campaign with his head photoshopped on Bieber's body.
