Beyond The Summit 2 'Dota 2' Tournament 2014 Dates: Official Detail, Live Stream Link

Following the success of the first Beyond the Summit (BTS) event last June, the second Beyond the Summit battle is set to be waged from December 3 to 7. For those that may not know, the event is basically a "behind the scenes" style 'Dota 2' tournament.

According to the game's website, Beyond the Summit 2 is a "so smart" and highly anticipated sequel to the first event, adding that the second battle will be held in a private home in the Greater Los Angeles, as it will only be an "intimate affair."

The event will be broadcasted by the world's largest Dota 2 studios in more than six languages and can be live streamed on BTS' Twitch channel and other participating streams.

The first event was viewed by almost 5 million people worldwide, and they are expecting that the second Summit will also attract millions of unique viewers as well.

As per the game's official website, six teams from around the world will be competing in the LAN finals and the players who are not actively competing will be a part of the live broadcast, which is already more than what is normally experienced during other live events.

"Ultimately, 'The Summit 2' is designed to give players a platform to connect more directly with fans and to share the personalities, insight and humor behind the names," the website reads.

For the group stage, it will begin with a round-robin competition where the two best teams will advance to the semi-finals, while four other teams will battle it out at the quarterfinals.

The playoffs, on the other hand, will be a single elimination where the best players out of five will be selected.

The prize pool for The Summit 2 is set at $100,000, but according to the Bleacher Report, it has already increased two times over because of crowdfunding.

On top of the base prize, goodies will also be given away during The Summit 2, including a Compendium Bundle with a Duskie the Husky loading screen, a Duskie the Husky courier, and a DOTA TV ticket for over 300 matches.
