'Beyond Good & Evil 2' News & Update: Game In The Works? Here Are The Details

Ubisoft's "Beyond Good & Evil 2" could be happening, as per reports.

On Sept. 28, game creator Michale Ancel took to Instagram a photo, which was reportedly the game's concept art. In caption, Ancel wrote "Somewhere in system 4... - thanks #ubisoft for making this possible!"

The photo features a pig, which is wearing clothes, and a bearded man, who seems to be doing a mechanical duty. According to Wired, the game's heroine was a human character named Jade; however, the concept art showing a"mechanically-inclined" pig could mean that it is Pey'j, Jade's friend.

About system 4, it is the name of the fictional space region where the game took place, according to The Verge. As per the publication, the pig could be a younger version of Pey'j. On the other hand, it is added that the bearded man's role is still vague at this point.

The art is highly legit, as evidenced by Ubisoft's tweet on Sept. 27. The studio wrote, "michel Ancel a un compte Instagram et on vous conseille de le suivre de pres..." As per Wired, it translates to "Michel Ancel has an Instagram account, and we advise you to follow closely."

In line with the game's background, it was first unveiled in 2008, but it did not push through. As per reports, the original game resembled "Legend of Zelda" and it followed photojournalist Jade, who knew about an alien conspiracy. However, the game did not sell well.

Published by Ubisoft, "Beyond Good & Evil 2" is set to be released for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 3. Details on the exact release date are yet to be revealed.
