The upcoming season 3 of "Better Call Saul" might just be the most exciting yet as it follows Jimmy McGill's transformation into Saul Goodman.

In the final episode of season 2, Jimmy was left with a major dilemma. Fans expect that in the upcoming installment, he will finally become Saul Goodman, the person viewers have always wanted to see.

"This season is gonna be about how innocence gets torn away. We learn that Saul is just who he's pretending to be to get back at the world. Season 3 is when things will really explode," revealed actor Bob Odenkirk, who plays Jimmy, in an interview with The Wrap.

The actor revealed that viewers will have a first closer look at the real Saul in the upcoming season. It can be deduced from his statement that the innocence of his character will have to be "torn away" so he could live, since this is the only means he has to even the score with the world and those people who betrayed him. This might also mean that Jimmy will have to sacrifice some of the people he loves so his transformation can become successful.

Fans can expect that in season 3, Jimmy's best friend Mike and Kim will get dragged along the process. While Jimmy does not want to get them involved in his journey towards the underworld of the law, having the support of people dear to him is inevitable.

The new season will also explore the rivalry between Jimmy and his brother Chuck, who betrayed him into admitting that he fabricated his Mesa Verde documents in the previous season.

"Better Call Saul" season 3 is expected to premiere in 2017.
