In a statement, AMC, Sundance TV, and AMC Studios president Charlie Collier said that what Vince, Peter, Bob and the whole team had accomplished with "Better Call Saul" was truly rare and remarkable. He also mentioned that they had taken one of the most iconic, immersive, and fan-obsessive shows in television history in the best possible way, adding that it had created a prequel that stood on its own.

According to Collier, watching Jimmy's thoughtful, melodic, and morally flexible transformation into Saul Goodman was entertaining and delighting millions of fans, whether their starting point had been "Breaking Bad" or not. For the AMC head, the series had its own feel, pace, and sensibility that they could not wait to see what the incredibly talented cast came up in season 3.
