‘Better Call Saul’ Season 2 Spoilers, Premiere: Jimmy and Kim At Risk; Mike Still Seeks Redemption?

Fans of "Better Call Saul" were pleasantly surprised by the romance between Jimmy and Kim blossoming in season 2. However, new spoilers hint that it might not last long.

Showrunner Peter Gould talked to Entertainment Weekly, as shared by Yahoo! TV, where he said that Kim (Rhea Seehorn) is always on edge that her relationship with Jimmy (Bob Odendirk) will eventually end up in disaster.

"Obviously, that scammy, trickster Saul Goodman-ish side of Jimmy does appeal to Kim," he said.

"I think Kim's point to Jimmy is actually, it's a little bit subtle, because it's not simply, 'You shouldn't do the wrong thing.' It's that, 'You're going to screw up the things that you've gained.'"

And while Kim may appreciate Jimmy for taking high-risk, high-reward scams, "she's concerned that Jimmy isn't going to be able to stop himself."

Meanwhile, the actions of Mike (Jonathan Banks) will continue to be prompted by the primal need to do something for her granddaughter and even his daughter-in-law. But that might be his hubris, especially with what Nacho is offering.

"He's feeling some pressure, and he's got a great desire to heal and make things right. I think he's going to entertain whatever Nacho's offering. I think Mike is going to entertain it very seriously," he added.

Spoilers for episode 4 can be gleaned from the "Better Call Saul" season 2 synopsis from TV Guide which states, "for Jimmy's actions unexpectedly create waves for Kim. Meanwhile, Mike cautiously weighs a lucrative proposal that might bring about dire consequences."

Watch out for more spoilers for "Better Call Saul" season 2 which will be published here when they come along. The series airs on AMC at 10 p.m. on Mondays.
